This is one the very first purees I started Zion on. The first two weeks I gave one ingredient every two days to get him used to the idea of eating and trying new things. Avocados are a great first food for baby to try, it has many nutrients to support growth and development. They are easily digested and have a neutral taste that baby will most likely enjoy. Avocado’s are a great source of healthy fats, fiber, Folate, Potassium, Vitamins A, D, E, K & more!
This is one of the easiest purees you can start with for baby since there is no cooking or steaming required.
When you are first starting solids remember that it is foreign to baby, they will most likely take a few small tastes or maybe just one and that’s ok, be patient with them.
Here are some other puree recipes we started with: sweet potato puree, green pea puree and pear puree.
