Apples are so beneficial to a growing immune-system, they are rich in antioxidants, high in soluble fiber, which is good for digestive health. They contain iron, calcium, Vitamins A, C, B-complex, potassium and much more, making it a great first choice to serve to baby.
When preparing apples make sure to steam until very soft, with skin off and no seeds.
You can serve it mashed, pureed or cut lengthwise for baby led-weaning style.
