Me and my kids love a good non-dairy Coconut Yogurt Bowl and these do not disappoint!

A non-dairy coconut yogurt bowl is a delightful and nutritious option for kids, especially those with dairy sensitivities or preferences for plant-based treats. Coconut yogurt is naturally creamy, with a mild sweetness that pairs well with a variety of toppings. It is such a simple, easy breakfast or snack idea for kids of all ages. These bowls are vegan, allergen friendly, dairy-free, gluten-free and egg-free. If you have a little one allergic to nuts, swap the nut butter for sunflower seed butter or omit altogether.

 

Start with a base of unsweetened coconut yogurt, which is rich in healthy fats to provide energy and support brain development. It’s also packed with healthy fats, iron and probiotics that promote gut health, essential for growing children.

These bowls are very versatile, making it customizable to yours and baby’s liking. To make it fun and kid-friendly, top the yogurt with colorful, nutrient-packed fruits like sliced bananas, fresh berries, or diced mango. Choose a nut butter like peanut or almond butter, or some granola for yourself. We like to add some flaxseeds or chia seeds to our bowl for some added nutrition and for older kids you can drizzle a little honey on top, wow so delicious!

They are very easy to prepare and can be fun for older kids to pick which toppings they like. These versatile bowls can be served as a nutritious breakfast, a refreshing snack, or even a light dessert. When Zion was younger, I would serve with a little bit of ground flaxseeds mixed into the yogurt, with mashed banana and strawberries on top. Hope you guys like this one as much as we do!

 

How To Serve:

6 month baby & up: Mash or puree fruit and add to yogurt bowl

9 month baby & up: You can mash or cut into small pieces and add to yogurt bowl
