Pear Apple Quinoa Breakfast

If you want to change up your baby’s breakfast to something warm, nutritious and nourishing this is a great recipe to try!

Quinoa contains all nine essential amino acids that supports baby’s growth and development. It is a complete plant protein, packed with vitamins, minerals omega-3, omega-6, iron, calcium and more! It is truly a superfood for our little ones, paired with the sweetness and fiber from the apples and pears, you have yourself a flavorful, wholesome breakfast.

Ingredients

Adjust Servings
1 small apple
1 small pear
1/4 cup quinoa
1/2 cup almond milk, breastmilk or formula
Dash of cinnamon

Directions

Wash your quinoa and peel & cut your apple and pear
Mark as complete

Add to pot with 1 and 1/4 cup water and bring to a boil
Mark as complete

Sprinkle generous amount of cinnamon
Mark as complete

Cover on low heat for 17-20 min
Mark as complete

When ready add 1/2 cup almond milk, breastmilk or formula
Mark as complete

Mash or blend everything together and serve
Mark as complete

Notes

Storage instructions- can refrigerate for 2-3 days or freeze for up to 1 month
