Smoothie Melts

This recipe is for 9 month old baby & up

Smoothie melts are a cool, nutritious treat that your little one’s can make with you! These bite sized, fruity treats are a great option to have in the freezer as a snack, my little one kept on eating them! For 1 year old’s, this is a great dessert option after a meal, since they don’t really know what sugar is yet, this sugar-free option is a great alternative for them and they tend to like the way these look. It’s especially great for kids who are teething, kids who need a little extra help going to the bathroom, if your kid isn’t a big fan of smoothies you can try serving it to them this way, or a simple, healthy, yummy, toddler treat. These smoothie melts are very versatile, you can add whichever fruits or veggies you like, we made a delicious berry smoothie blend and it came out so good! It’s made by blending berries, banana, chia seeds to help thicken it up and added nutrition, add to a piping bag or Ziplock bag, cut off a small hole and add little circles to a baking sheet, it’s that simple! Smoothie melts are perfect for kids who are teething or need a refreshing snack during warm days, make sure to freeze until solid and I promise your kids will keep going back for more! These melt very quick in your mouth, but of course always supervise when eating.

Substitutions:

Fruit: You can make yours and your child’s favorite smoothie blend like mango, pineapple, coconut or strawberry, banana, spinach, the possibilities here are endless

Chia Seeds: Always make sure to add the pre-soaked chia seeds, this is what will help the smoothie not be too thin to add to baking sheet

Non-dairy milk: You can use whichever milk you prefer, almond milk, pea milk, soy milk, or cow milk

How To Store:

These melt fairly quickly, so I recommend leaving it on the baking sheet or quickly adding them to a Ziplock and storing in the freezer.
