Peanut Butter Cookies
Peanut Butter Cookies- A Fun Nutritious Snack for Babies and Toddlers- 8 months & up
These are by far one of my favorite cookie recipes when little one’s are starting finger foods and exploring new textures, you really can’t go wrong with them. They come out flavorful, tasty, soft and moist, making it easy for little one’s to chew and swallow. The banana adds natural sweetness, eliminating the need for added sugar while satisfying your little one’s sweet tooth. Big plus is they are gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free. Made with just 3 ingredients and very little prep time! Whether served as a fun snack for babies and toddlers, a finger food, or a sweet treat during playdates, these cookies are a versatile addition to your child’s meal rotation.
Why Peanut Butter Cookies for Babies and Toddlers?
- Packed with Protein and Healthy Fats:
Peanut butter and almond flour are great sources of protein and healthy fats, which are essential for growth, brain development, and sustained energy. Including peanut butter and almond flour in recipes offers a nutritious boost that keeps little ones fueled for their busy, active days. - Soft and Easy to Eat:
By making peanut butter cookies specifically for babies and toddlers, you can control the texture to ensure they are soft and easy to chew. This is especially important for younger children who may not yet have a full set of teeth. These cookies are excellent for baby-led weaning (BLW) because of their moist, soft texture. - A Natural Way to Introduce Peanuts:
Introducing peanuts at an early age (around 6–12 months) can help reduce the risk of peanut allergies. Peanut butter cookies are a fun and delicious way to familiarize your child with peanuts in a safe, controlled manner.
Substitutions:
Peanut Butter- This can be substituted with any nut or seed butter of choice, for example almond butter or sunflower seed butter.
