When you are in a rush looking for a nutritious snack or breakfast for you and your baby, this is a good recipe to go to. An apple banana smoothie is a simple, delicious, and nutrient-packed drink that kids will love. Combining the natural sweetness of bananas and the crisp, refreshing flavor of apples, this smoothie offers a great way to provide children with essential vitamins and minerals in an easy-to-consume form. This smoothie is perfect for breakfast, snack time, or even as a healthy dessert.

 

TIP: If you like a little ice in your smoothie, serve babies portion and then add ice to yours

Substitutions:

Apple- I don’t recommend substituting the apple for this recipe

Banana- If you don’t like bananas add an extra apple instead

Oats- You can omit the oats if you prefer too

Date- For babies 12 months & up, the date can be substituted with a little honey

Flaxseeds- can omit or swap for hemp seeds

Non-dairy milk- You can use any milk you prefer, cow milk, oat milk, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk, etc.

Ingredients

Adjust Servings
1 skinless apple
1 ripe banana
2 tbsp rolled oats
1 tsp ground flaxseed
1 pitted date
1 cup of non-dairy milk I usually use oat or almond milk
Dash of cinnamon

Directions

Add all your ingredients to a blender apple, banana, oats, flaxseeds, date, cinnamon & milk
Mark as complete

Notes

Storage instructions- I recommend drinking this the same day or if you have leftovers store in fridge for only 24 hours
