Wild Blueberry Jam Grilled Cheese Bites

This recipe is for 9 month old baby & up

We have been loving wild blueberries in our house lately and this recipe does not disappoint.

Wild blueberry grilled cheese bites are a delightful twist on the classic comfort food, combining the savory richness of melted cheese with the sweet burst of wild blueberries. These bite-sized treats are perfect for kids and adults alike, offering a fun and flavorful snack or light meal. The wild blueberries add a fruity contrast to the gooey cheese, creating a balanced bite that’s both sweet and savory. The crisp, golden bread encases this delicious filling, making each bite satisfyingly crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside.

It has quickly become a favorite with it’s explosion of flavors. I am big on sweet and savory and this one hits all the right spots.  Whether served as an after-school snack, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a unique lunchbox treat, wild blueberry grilled cheese bites are sure to be a hit with everyone. It is excellent for toddler, older kids or even us adults. This recipe is easy, simple and quick to make with minimal ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen right now.

Substitutions:

Whole wheat bread: You can use whatever bread you prefer like sourdough bread, white bread, whole grain, spelt, etc.

Cheese: You can use whichever cheese you prefer, shredded mozzarella, cheddar, etc.

Wild blueberry Jam: If you don’t have time to make homemade wild blueberry jam, you can substitute with strawberry jam, grape jam, apple jam, whatever you choose will be delicious.

Butter: I don’t recommend substituting the butter with oil for this recipe
