This recipe is for 8 month old baby & up

Strawberry cheesecake overnight oats are a fantastic breakfast option for kids, offering a fun and tasty way to start the day while sneaking in some healthy ingredients. They are so quick and easy to make, probably one of the easiest breakfast ideas for kids of all ages. Not to mention, they come out super creamy and yummy, so grab a spoon and enjoy this vibrant, healthy breakfast with your little one!

The creamy texture and sweet flavor, reminiscent of a favorite dessert, making it feel like a treat, but with the added benefit of oats, cottage cheese, and chia seeds, it’s packed with protein and fiber to keep them full and energized through the day. Kids love the burst of fresh strawberries mixed in, and the idea of “cheesecake” for breakfast makes it feel extra special. Plus, it’s easy to prepare ahead of time, which makes busy school mornings a breeze. You can even let them get creative with toppings, like a sprinkle of crushed graham crackers or extra fruit, making it a fun and customizable meal they’ll look forward to!

Why Strawberry Cheesecake Overnight Oats for Kids?

  • Getting kids to eat a balanced, nutritious breakfast can be a challenge on busy school mornings, but with a little creativity, you can transform breakfast into something fun, delicious, and packed with nutrients. it’s like having a dessert-inspired breakfast that also delivers the goodness of whole grains, protein, and fruit.
  • In addition to being a delicious treat, these overnight oats offer several nutritional benefits. Cottage cheese is packed with protein and calcium, essential for growing kids. It is packed with protein and adds a probiotic boost for gut health. The oats themselves provide complex carbohydrates and fiber, which help stabilize blood sugar and keep energy levels steady and filled with fiber, antioxidants and more from the strawberries. This breakfast is a great way to start the day with a mix of macronutrients, supporting your child’s growth and energy needs.
  • It is so simple and fun to make. One of the best things about strawberry cheesecake overnight oats is how easy they are to prepare. With no cooking required, you can make them the night before, saving time during busy mornings. You can even let the kids help mix the ingredients together, which is a fun way to get them involved in the kitchen.

A Make-Ahead Breakfast for Busy Mornings:

Another advantage of strawberry cheesecake overnight oats is that they can be made ahead of time, making them perfect for hectic mornings when there’s no time to cook. You can prepare individual servings in mason jars or small containers and store them in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. This means you can have a nutritious, ready-to-eat breakfast waiting for your kids every morning, even on the busiest school days.

Substitutions & Customizations:

Strawberry cheesecake overnight oats are incredibly versatile. You can easily customize them to fit your child’s preferences or dietary needs. If your child has a sweet tooth, you can add a bit more honey or maple syrup, or even stir in a few chocolate chips or mini marshmallows for a “cheesecake” experience that feels like dessert.

To make it even more fun, you can add toppings like crushed graham crackers (for a true cheesecake feel), extra berries, or a drizzle of peanut butter for added protein. Some kids might also enjoy adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of vanilla extract for extra flavor. The options are endless, and it’s a great way to keep breakfast exciting and personalized.

TIP:

For younger babies and a smoother texture you can blend the oats and chia seeds in the blender together. It will be a more smooth, pudding-like texture.

Strawberries- If you don’t have strawberries, you can substitute with raspberries.

Cottage Cheese- Try to swap for some cream cheese, farmers cheese or greek yogurt.

Milk or non-dairy milk- Any milk will work in this recipe. You can use cow milk, almond milk, soy milk, etc.

Oats- I recommend using instant oats, since it is thinner in texture and easier for baby to chew. If you prefer rolled oats you can use those as well.

Chia seeds- I don’t recommend substituting the chia seeds in this recipe.

Date- If baby is 12 months & up, you can substitute the date with honey or maple syrup.

Talk about DELICIOUS – oh my gosh. Baby hasn’t always eaten it (she’s getting more picky now, and could be the texture? Chia seeds just don’t seem to be a fave for her at the moment ) but I’ll say as a food to introduce, if she doesn’t eat it I’m more than happy to! hahaha And seriously fast to make. And the best is because it’s made the night before it’s just a pull out the next morning and we’re good thing.

Hahaha same! If baby doesn’t eat it I always end up eating it myself! Happy you enjoyed it
