Nutritional Benefits of Easy Banana Crepes:

Bananas are a nutritional powerhouse for kids. Packed with potassium, they support muscle function and energy production, while their natural sugars provide a quick energy boost without causing a sugar crash. Bananas are also rich in fiber, aiding digestion, and contain vitamin B6, which is important for brain development. Their soft texture makes them an ideal ingredient for crepes, blending seamlessly into the batter for a naturally sweet and moist result.

The eggs are a rich source of high-quality protein, essential for building and repairing tissues, muscles, and supporting overall growth during childhood. Each egg contains about 6 grams of protein, which helps keep kids energized and satisfied throughout the day. Eggs are packed with essential nutrients like choline, which supports brain development and memory, making it particularly beneficial for growing minds. They provide a good dose of vitamin D, crucial for strong bones and immune health, and contain antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin, which promote eye health.

Toppings and Fillings Kids Will Love:

The beauty of  these easy banana crepes lies in their versatility. For a simple and kid-approved option, spread a thin layer of nut butter or cream cheese on the crepe, then fold or roll it up. You can also fill the crepes with fresh fruit like sliced strawberries, blueberries, or more banana slices. For toddlers and older kids a drizzle of honey or maple syrup for a touch of sweetness. For special occasions, make it into a healthy dessert by adding a dollop of whipped cream or a light drizzle of melted chocolate, making these crepes feel extra indulgent.

Tips for success:

  • Make sure to use ripe bananas for this recipe
  • You need a ladle for this recipe to thin out the crepe properly. If you don’t thin it out it will come out like a pancake.
  • Thinning the crepe properly is crucial, use the backend of the ladle and move it in circular motions until you get a thinner pancake.
  • I noticed after the first spray of oil I did not need to use anymore, minimal oil only for this recipe.
