Beetroot Fritters

Beetroot Fritters for Baby-Led Weaning (BLW): A Nutritious and Fun Finger Food for 8 months old & up

Introducing solid foods to your baby can be an exciting journey, and beetroot fritters are a perfect addition to a baby-led weaning (BLW) menu. Packed with nutrients, vibrant in color, and easy for little hands to hold, these fritters are a wholesome and delicious way to encourage self-feeding. These little fritters are very easy to make, made with clean, healthy ingredients and come together in under 20 minutes. They come out soft, flavorful and if you pair it with my Baby-Friendly Avocado Crema, your little one’s will enjoy it even more!

Why Choose Beetroot Fritters for BLW?

  1. Rich in Nutrients:
Beetroots are loaded with essential nutrients like iron, folate, vitamin C, potassium, and antioxidants. These nutrients support healthy blood circulation, brain development, and immunity in growing babies. It’s a great way to add this vegetable into your child’s diet.
  2. Baby-Friendly Texture:
When cooked and formed into fritters, beetroots become soft enough for babies to chew but firm enough to hold, making them an ideal BLW finger food. Make eating them fun and pair it with the Baby-Friendly Avocado Crema, for extra nutrition and to keep mealtime more engaging with a dip!
  3. Vibrant Color:
The bright red hue of beetroots naturally makes them appealing and fun for babies to explore, stimulating visual interest and making mealtime more exciting.
