Easy Cauliflower Pizza for Kids: A Fun and Nutritious Twist
If you are looking for a quick, simple healthy pizza recipe for your littles that is made with yummy, clean ingredients you have to try this cauliflower pizza. Great for 10 month baby & up!
Cauliflower pizza is a creative and healthy way to introduce little kids to vegetables while still giving them a meal they’ll love. Soft, tender and delicious, this pizza is a perfect,
quick lunch or dinner idea for babies, toddlers and older kids. I enjoy eating it myself! If you have a picky toddler at home, try making this recipe for them, I promise you they won't even know the cauliflower is in there.
The crust is made from steamed cauliflower puree, mixed with flour and olive oil, creating a nutritious base that's lower in carbs and higher in fiber compared to traditional pizza dough. It's a great way to sneak in extra veggies, topped with a light layer of tomato sauce, melted cheese, and their favorite toppings like tiny pieces of chicken, bell peppers, or even more veggies, this pizza is both tasty and fun to eat. It's perfect for a family lunch, dinner or a weekend treat, offering a balanced meal that’s packed with flavor and goodness. You don't need to work the dough a lot, no resting time, and it comes out super yummy, soft and easy for baby or toddler's to chew. This pizza is freezer-friendly and reheats amazing, making it great for
lunchboxes or on the go lunch on a busy day.
Try and get your kids in the kitchen and make it a fun pizza night activity! Let them play with the dough and add sauce, cheese and favorite toppings!
What you need:
Steamer and blender- I like to use my
baby cook that does both in one.
How to serve:
For younger babies- cut pizza into bite size pieces along side fruit
For older babies and toddlers- cut into 4 pieces or serve whole along side fruit
Substitutions:
Cauliflower Puree: You can swap this out for a broccoli puree and get a vibrant, green crust.
All-purpose flour: You can swap for whole wheat, white whole-wheat, spelt or gluten-free.
Olive oil: I recommend using olive oil for this recipe, but if you don't have you can use avocado oil
Cheese: You can make this pizza dairy-free. In replace to the cheese, add sauce and some yummy pizza toppings that you like.
Tomato sauce: You can opt out for the tomato sauce and add cheese and toppings you like.
