🔄 Substitutions & Easy Swaps

This recipe is intentionally simple, but here are a few easy ways to adjust it based on what you have on hand:

  • Ground chicken: Can be swapped with ground turkey or ground beef. For babies and toddlers, choose lean but not extra-lean meat to keep it tender.

  • Frozen carrot + pea mix: Any frozen veggie blend works well, corn, green beans, diced zucchini are all great options.

  • Onion: Can be omitted if serving for very sensitive eaters, or replaced with a small amount of onion powder for gentle flavor.

  • Broth: Chicken or vegetable broth both work. Water can also be used in a pinch, though broth adds more fat & flavor.
