Kiwi Avocado Banana Purée – A Creamy, Vitamin-Packed First Food for 6 Months Old & Up
One of my favorite parts of starting solids with my little one was discovering new flavor combinations together. This Kiwi, Avocado & Banana Purée quickly became a staple in our kitchen — it’s creamy, naturally sweet, and full of goodness. I remember how my baby’s face lit up with every spoonful of this vibrant green blend. It was an easy, no-cook option that I could whip up in minutes, and knowing it was loaded with nutrients made me feel great about what I was serving.
Since kiwis are a little more acidic I would suggest serving this puree to 7 months and up, when baby’s digestion is a little stronger, but all ingredients are safe for 6+ months.
Why Kiwi Avocado Banana Puree:
Each ingredient in this baby purée brings its own nutritional superpowers:
-
Avocado is packed with healthy monounsaturated fats that help support brain development and provide lasting energy. It’s also a great source of vitamin E, folate, and fiber.
-
Banana adds natural sweetness and a smooth texture, along with essential nutrients like potassium, vitamin B6, and vitamin C. It’s gentle on little tummies and helps promote healthy digestion.
-
Kiwi is a wonderful source of vitamin C, which helps the body absorb iron and supports a strong immune system. Its bright, tart flavor also balances out the creamy base of the purée.
Storage Tips:
-
Fridge: Store in an airtight container for up to 24 hours (due to avocado’s tendency to brown).
-
Freezer: Freeze in small portions in a silicone tray for up to 1 month. Thaw in the fridge and stir well before serving.
