Benefits of Peanut Butter Banana Teething Treats?

Combining the creamy texture of yogurt with the natural sweetness of ripe bananas and the rich flavor of peanut butter, this healthy dessert is not only delicious but also packed with essential nutrients.

Peanut Butter: Peanut butter is an excellent source of healthy fats, protein, and vitamins. For babies, it can be introduced around six months, provided there’s no family history of nut allergies. Always consult your pediatrician before introducing allergenic foods. Peanut butter can help promote healthy brain development due to its healthy fat content and is rich in vitamin E, which supports immune function.

Bananas: Bananas are a perfect first fruit for babies. They are soft, easy to mash, and contain important nutrients like potassium, vitamin C, and dietary fiber. The natural sweetness of bananas makes them appealing to babies, while their texture is suitable for little hands to grasp and chew on, making them an ideal ingredient in teething treats.

Yogurt: Yogurt is rich in probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that support a healthy gut microbiome. These probiotics can aid digestion, help prevent constipation, and enhance overall gut health. It is packed with essential nutrients, including calcium, protein, and vitamins such as B12 and riboflavin.

How to serve:

Defrost for a few minutes before serving, so it’s not too cold for baby.

Best way to serve is in a silicone mesh feeder, so baby can hold it comfortably (warning, it will still get messy)

Substitutions:

Whole milk yogurt- Can be substituted for a dairy-free yogurt, for example coconut yogurt.

Peanut butter- You can swap with any nut or seed butter of your choice, for example sunflower butter or almond butter.

Bananas- I don’t recommend substituting the banana with anything in this recipe.

What you need:

Parchment paper sheet

Loaf Pan

You can also make this in a fun silicone mold if you have one
