Tender Chuck Roast and Green Beans- A Comforting, Warm Family Dinner for 11 months Baby & Up
This meal has been something my mother used to make us growing up and it always hit all the right spots. Where she is from it can be called goulash, beef goulash, etc. Whatever you want to call it, it is an amazing family-friendly meal that is comforting, warm and nutritious. Made with
minimal ingredients, this dish is
clean, healthy, and packed with natural flavors. Slow-cooked to perfection, the chuck roast becomes
juicy and incredibly soft, while the green beans turn
tender yet flavorful, making this meal ideal for
little ones and adults alike.
Now, as a busy parent, I appreciate meals like this even more, wholesome, easy to prepare, and loved by both kids and adults. There's nothing better than seeing my little ones enjoy a meal that’s both nutritious and delicious, knowing that every bite is made from simple, clean ingredients.

Tips For Success:
- I recommend prepping everything beforehand for easier cooking. I used fresh green beans that were already cut and washed, the strings were removed, so all I did was cut them in half. Make sure to cut onion, garlic and your beef into cubes. I like to cut off any big pieces of fat from the beef.
- When sautéing the onions make sure to sauté for a few minutes till golden brown, this is what gives off a lot of the flavor.
- Same with the beef you want to sear it on each side for a few minutes till you get a nice color.
- When it is slow cooking in the oven, check and see if you need to add more liquid, you want to have a good amount of sauce. I didn't have to but this will vary depending on pot you are using and oven.

- With Mashed Potatoes: Spoon the shredded roast and green beans over creamy mashed potatoes.
- As a Rice Bowl: Serve over rice or quinoa for a hearty meal.
- With Roasted Vegetables: Pair with additional roasted carrots or sweet potatoes.
