These toddler-friendly hamburgers are everything you need for your little one’s! Hamburgers are always a little trickier to eat, so I wanted to make a hamburger that was catered to babies and toddlers. They are soft, juicy and incredibly delicious and a meal that the whole family can enjoy together. By combining lean ground beef, egg, onion, and a light seasoning of salt and pepper, then coating the patties with breadcrumbs, you get burgers that are juicy on the inside, lightly crisp on the outside, and easy to eat — with or without a bun. Here’s what you’ll need:

Once cooked and cooled, freeze them in a single layer, then store in a freezer-safe bag. Reheat in a pan, air fryer or oven straight from frozen — no need to defrost. They store and reheat wonderfully!

  • 9–12 months: Cut into strips or small chunks, serve plain or dipped in mashed avocado.

Ingredients

1-1.2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 onion
1 egg
breadcrumbs for coating
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
avocado oil or neutral oil for cooking

Finely grate or mince garlic in food processor, do not strain the water this is needed for a softer burger

In mixing bowl add the minced onion, ground beef, egg, salt, pepper and mix thoroughly for about 1-2 minutes combining everything together and breaking down the meat

Form small, thin patties, about 2–3 inches wide — and lightly press them into breadcrumbs

In a heated pan add oil, when it's hot start to add your burgers. Cook each side for 3-4 minutes. I recommend lowering to medium heat once pan is hot and once you flip them you can cover for 3-4 minutes to ensure they are cooked through.

Cool and serve! You can serve with or without a bun, along side homemade fries and ketchup

Storage instructions- can refrigerate for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
