Substitutions:

Flour- Can use all-purpose, whole wheat, white whole wheat, spelt, white spelt.

Butter- Can substitute with coconut oil or dairy-free butter of choice

Sweet Potato- Can be replaced with pumpkin or butternut squash puree

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Steam sweet potato for 15 min
  1. Add to a bowl with melted butter and mash
  1. Add flour slowly, starting with 1/2 cup, work the dough and add the rest with the baking powder and mix (depending on how big sweet potato is you might need a little less flour) TIP: put a little flour on your hands so dough won't stick too much on your hands
  1. Scoop biscuits onto baking tray and add to oven on 375 F for 10-12 minutes
  1. In the meantime mix a little softened butter with a sprinkle of cinnamon
  1. When ready cool and serve
