A kid-friendly pumpkin pie smoothie is a fun and delicious way to give your kids a taste of fall while sneaking in some extra veggies. It’s creamy, lightly spiced, and naturally sweetened with banana and dates, blended to a perfect consistency. This smoothie is filled with fiber, protein, healthy carbs, Vitamins A & C from the pumpkin along with iron, zinc, magnesium & more! The best part, it’s quick & easy to make! You can serve it for breakfast, a quick lunch, a healthy dessert or after-school snack. It taste just like a slice of pumpkin pie in a cup, a delicious and nutritious way to treat your little one’s to somethin good!

 

Did you know pumpkin pie spice has a lot of healthy benefits?

Cinnamon- Cinnamon is packed with antioxidants that help boost the immune system, along with antibacterial, antifungal & antiviral properties that can help fight off infections like respiratory tract infections.

Ginger- Ginger is excellent for immunity, has lots of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It can help with an upset stomach, constipation and digestion.

Cloves- Cloves have antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that can help with teething pain. They have small amounts of vitamins and minerals like Vitamin K, Vitamin C, iron and calcium.

Nutmeg- Nutmeg’s antioxidant properties can help build a strong immune system. It is great for digestion, gas and stomach issues and can help babies relax.

 

Tips:

If you want added protein you can add 1 tbsp greek yogurt or omit all together for dairy-free option.

If you don’t have pumpkin spice you can replace with cinnamon.

You can freeze the leftover pumpkin puree and use for cooking soups, add to meatballs, or make a yummy pumpkin loaf.

I like to add ice for myself, so I take out babies portion and continue to blend mine with handful of ice.
