Why Choose Safe Catch Tuna?

Safe Catch tuna is the cleanest choice when it comes to canned fish, especially for young children and pregnant women. Each fish is individually tested for mercury, ensuring it meets the strictest safety standards. It’s also high in omega-3s, sustainably caught, and packed with lean protein—making it a smart and safe choice for the whole family.

Serving Ideas for Mediterranean Tuna Sweetcorn Pasta:

.Serve warm with a side of steamed veggies like broccoli, peas, or green beans.

.Enjoy cold as a pasta salad—perfect for lunchboxes or summer meals.

.Toddler-friendly bowl: Cut pasta into smaller pieces and serve with avocado or soft veggies.

.Top with cheese like parmesan or mild cheddar, or use nutritional yeast for a dairy-free option.

.Pair with a side salad of cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and olives for a fresh Mediterranean twist.

Substitutions:

Pasta- I used rotini semolina pasta, but you can use whichever pasta you prefer. For gluten-free pasta you can opt for chickpea pasta, brown rice pasta or red lentil pasta.

Tuna- Tuna works best for this recipe, especially for little ones. You can substitute with sardines or canned mackerel.

Sweetcorn- You can omit if preferred.

Tomato paste- You can make your own tomato sauce if preferred or use jarred marinara sauce.

Garlic- This can be replaced with a little garlic powder.

Olive oil- I love olive oil for pasta recipes, but you can substitute with another neutral oil.

Storage Instructions:

.Refrigerate: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. The flavors often deepen over time, and it’s just as delicious cold the next day—perfect for lunchboxes or quick meals.

.Reheat: To serve warm, gently reheat in a pan over low heat or microwave in short intervals, adding a splash of water or extra sauce if needed to prevent it from drying out.

.Freezing: I don’t recommend freezing this recipe.
