  • Topped with nut butter or sunflower seed butter for extra protein.

  • Add some vanilla ice cream for a healthy dessert.

Substitutions:

This recipe is very flexible! Try these swaps based on what you have on hand:

  • Oats – Use rolled oats or quick oats if you want it softer.

  • Butter – Swap for melted coconut oil for a dairy-free option.

  • Milk – Use any kind: whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk.

  • Peaches – Fresh, frozen, or canned (in juice, not syrup) all work. You can also use nectarines or white nectarines which is what I had.

  • Sweetener – I used maple syrup but you can replace with date syrup, or mashed banana to the mix for younger babies.

  • Add-ins – Stir in chia seeds, ground flax, shredded coconut, or a sprinkle of chopped nuts for texture and extra nutrients.

Storage Instructions:

  • Refrigerator: Let the oatmeal bake cool completely, then store in an airtight container or cover the baking dish with foil. It will keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.

  • Freezer: Slice into squares and freeze in a freezer-safe container or zip bag with parchment between layers. Reheat in the microwave or oven. Keeps well frozen for up to 2 months.
