No-Bake Strawberry Ricotta Dessert – Sweet, Creamy, and A Baby-Friendly Dessert 🍓
Finding a dessert that feels like a treat but is still appropriate for babies can be tricky—especially when you want to avoid added sugars or overly processed ingredients. That’s why I’m so excited to share this no-bake strawberry ricotta dessert, perfect for babies 8 months and up. It’s soft, naturally sweetened, refreshing, and made with just a handful of nourishing ingredients: ricotta, plain yogurt, strawberries, and date syrup. For older babies or toddlers, a light crumble of graham cracker adds texture and makes it feel like a true mini cheesecake moment, without any baking or refined sugar.
This is one of those recipes that looks beautiful, tastes indulgent, but is totally guilt-free and completely baby-approved. Whether it’s a warm summer day or you just want something cool and creamy for snack or after lunch, this strawberry ricotta dessert checks every box.
Perfect for Babies & Toddlers:
This baby-friendly dessert is extremely easy to make, with just a few ingredients and no baking required. Ideal for 8 months and up, especially if your little one has already been introduced to dairy and strawberries. The texture is smooth and easy to spoon-feed, or you can serve it in a self-feeding bowl with a silicone spoon or pre-loaded spoon.
For toddlers and older kids, a few crushed graham crackers on top turns it into a creamy “mini pie” or parfait. You can even layer it in a little cup to make it look extra fun and special! It’s perfect for summertime, great for sharing, and totally mom-approved.
Nutritional Benefits:
This strawberry ricotta dessert isn’t just tasty—it’s full of benefits for growing bodies:
Ricotta provides calcium, protein, and healthy fats to support bone growth and brain development.
Yogurt is a probiotic powerhouse that supports digestion and a healthy gut.
Strawberries are rich in vitamin C, which boosts immunity and helps with iron absorption.
Date syrup is a great unrefined option that adds sweetness without the sugar crash.
How to Serve:
Spoon-fed for babies 8–10 months
Self-serve bowl or pre-loaded spoon for BLW
Topped with crushed graham crackers or even oats for toddlers

You can also freeze leftover portions into silicone molds or ice cube trays to make strawberry-ricotta “ice cream” bites for later!
Substitutions:
This dessert is flexible and can be adapted based on your baby’s dietary needs or what you have on hand:
Ricotta cheese
→ Substitute with full-fat cottage cheese (blend until smooth for younger babies) or mascarpone for a creamier texture. For a dairy-free version, use plain unsweetened plant-based ricotta (like almond or cashew-based options)Z.Plain whole milk yogurt
→ Use Greek yogurt for a thicker consistency or a plant-based yogurt (like coconut or oat milk yogurt) if avoiding dairy.
Strawberries
→ Swap with other soft fruits like raspberries, ripe mango, peaches, or banana. You can even use a mix of fruits for variety.
Date syrup
→ Use mashed Medjool dates (softened with a bit of water), honey for toddlers 12 months and up.Graham cracker crumbs (for 12 months+ only)
→ Substitute with crushed oat cereal, crushed unsweetened baby teething biscuits, or skip entirely for a smoother version. You can also use a sprinkle of crushed freeze-dried fruit for texture.
